Today is National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day! To celebrate, I’m sharing my favorite recipe for one of the most popular flavors of cookie. I love a soft cookie that doesn’t fall flat or get so gooey that they are impossible to move and store (if you can keep from eating them all long enough to need to store them!).
Ingredients
1 cup margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375°. Mix together butter, sugars, eggs, baking soda, salt, and vanilla. Mix in flour and chocolate chips. Use cookie scoop to form dough into circles and place on baking sheet. Bake for approximately 12 minutes or until tops just start to turn golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before removing to cooling rack. Allow to cool completely before storing.
